OK so I find this kind of weird. They don't do this a lot but sometimes when I'm holding one or both of my girls they vibrate. They don't really make much of a noise along with the vibrating the just do some light vibrating almost like purring but without the noise. Does this mean they are uncomfortable with me petting them or is normal and nothing to worry about? They do it after a bath but I feels a little more like shivering so of course I wrap them in towels and make sure to change them when they get wet until their dry so they stay nice and warm. Is it another way of saying they like being pet? It's not real often they do this just once in a while.

I believe it that is them saying they like you petting them. Mine only does it on occasion as well. Vibrating and some types of purring are good. Usually higher pitched purring to me means that they are irritated or don't like something, and lower pitched purring means they are enjoying something. But I'm not an expert by any means so this is just what I believe from handling my own pigs.

the sound didnt seem to work on my computer. I listened to the purring one and my pigs do make that sound when I hold them and sometimes when I'm holding them and sometimes when I'm not holding them so I'm glad to know it means their happy. However when they vibrate they don't really make any noise like I said it's like a slient purr.

Billie- just to let you know, I tried the Guinea Pig sounds link that you pasted too, and my screen just went black with no sound at all. I tried several times, strange....really don't know why it's not working for my computer, either.

Mine do this too when I stroke them. I'm assuming they like it!

What you're describing, do they make the noise when you touch their rumps?
Mine make that noise and vibrate when I'm messing with their behinds, but not when they are happy. Maybe your guinea pig is just unhappy with the whole bath situation. They do have a happy noise, which I find to be more of a gurgle.
