My piggy's nails are getting very long but Im so nervous to cut them! Last time i tried, before the cutter went all the way down, she started squealing and tried to jump, and im positive i wasn't cutting the qwik or holding her leg in a bad way.

I just got done doing this to some of my piggies about a half hour ago. They all acted very well.I just sat them on my lap cut their quick and it was all over. They were very calm.Mine didn't seem to hate it at all and it was my Oreos and my puffs first time getting their nails trimmed. My Patchs also had his trimmed and was very calm but hes had his trimmed many times. It will be S'mores and Tribbles turn soon, hopefully they'll be as calm as my other three.

Mine seem to chirp when i cut there nails but I dont cut the qwik or anything they just might be very sensitive in there feet i guess

You can try giving them some veggies to distract them.

Nail clipping has got to worse than boar cleaning. They squeal and jump and wriggle, argh its just a nightmare. I usually give them a big romaine lettuce leaf to munch on, or I put a towel over their heads to make them feel more comfortable.

boar cleaning?

I tried what someone else had suggested in another posting. I took some cilantro and held it outside of Henry's cage, so he'd put his hands up on the grids. I clipped them while he tried to pull the cilantro into his cage. I had had no success in clipping his nails prior to this...he's a very squirmy guy!Ahhh yes, Boar cleaning...not fun! Henry isn't a fan of it either!
