Today I went to TSC to look at some horse supplies when I realized that in the bins where they sell chicks, one had a tumor the size of a marble. And on other ones, feathers were missing, blood was dripping everywhere. I took some pictures while the employees weren't looking. I know this might sound wrong but they were going through so much pain. I haven't decided if I'm contacting PETA yet though....

I wish there was a forum called Morbid stories. At least then I can have the choice to read these kind of stories or not. Sorry, these type of stories affect me and I wish I could be warned ahead of time. Now I will envision this for the rest of the night. What was the point in taking pictures and relating this story if you are ending this story with I haven't decided if I'm contacting PETA yet though? No offense, but what was the point?

Are you saying I should or should not contact PETA?

I'm saying Contact Peta, at least then your story is worthwhile, otherwise your story is just another morbid story. We all could relate horror stories but I don't see why anyone would want to unless they tried to do something about it. Thats my opinion.

I agree, please at least do something or else it is just another story.

Absolutely email them to PETA. Please.

That's good that you took pictures, I think that will definately help, though they will probably be in the same situation that they were in the day you saw them. I'm with everyone else, contact PETA.

I agree about contacting PETA, but what about your local humane society as well? Surely they would have easier access to take action than PETA (or am I watching Animal Cops etc. too much?)

Well see the TSC I go to isn't n my county so I could contact Marylands SPCA. I also have contacted PETA and my brother out the pictures on a poultry site.

If you contact any humane society or police department, they should be able to direct you to the proper authority in the proper county. Or, they make take the information and pass along the word for you. Agencies are used to working together. Also, you can always call the non-emergency police line and ask what they recommend you should do. They are to "Protect and Serve"after-all! Good luck!
