Realizing all GP's are different, is there a recommendation on how much fresh veggies & fruit to offer piggies?

I feed her usually twice a day, once is her veggies, then in evening her pellets, hay is available all time

I've been offering mine about 1/2c total of lettuce, celery, carrot & green pepper (her FAVORITE), with a slice of orange or fresh strawberry. (this pig eats better than my family!!)

I'm guessing she is about 3-4 mos old. She weighs about 13 oz.

Well, I've heard that you can feed piggies up to a cup of fruit/veggies a day. What you're doing sounds great! You don't want to feed too much fruit, mostly veggies. Green pepper is a good choice! Keep up the great work! Hope this helps. =)

I feed mine a lot. Suprisingly enough my two pigs eat more greens than my three pigs!

I feed my girl what I sometimes think is far too much veggies, but she's healthy so I don't feel too bad about it. I don't think it matters too much as long as it's more veggies and less fruit so they don't get too fat.

I feed my 2 gp's veggies all day and night. I took them to the vet today for their bi-monthly check up. They checked out excellant. The teeth were fine, because they chew all the time on hay, celery, greens etc. I showed the vet a picture of the amount of veggies on the table at suppertime, he saw nothing wrong with the amount they are eating. The bottom line is: they are healthy as a pig

Any vege with high water content is very good for cavies.Well not iceBurg lettuce(dont know why)Mostly mine get what they want whenever they all flip out and start squeecking aloud.Always a full Hayrack Always full food dish Alfalfa is fed once every 4 days as a treat when their out running about and i guess thats about it besides the Carrots i feed to alot Well not muhc to my white pigs lol bathing them all the time sucks.Lol.

Icebuge lettuce has absolutly no nutritional value. Its just fiber and water. Its not relly bad, just not really good either.

i feed my gals fruits in the morning & vege in the evening. pellet & hay is available all the time.

Number of veggies

I have heard that you should give gp fresh veggies once in the morning and again in the evening. But I give mine veggies all the time.So I think it will be ok whatever you do.

I feed mine about twice a day (Although they always have some pellets and loads of hay about). We've tried our pigs on a variety of different things, and one of my pigs is a very fussy eater.. He'll only eat carrot if hes in the mood, and he doesn't want to know most fruit we give him.. Actually, his favourite food is cucumber, which is a bit of a pain, seeing as it doesn't have that much Vit C in it.

Sometimes we just don't give him certain veg like cucumber, so then he has no choice but to eat the healthy foods. I don't want him to just live on a diet of cucumber and dandelions >_<

My other piggie, Bruce, is the thankfully the opposite. He loves things like carrot etc and is more than happy to try out new fruit :p
