Cage Valentine's Day Decorated Cage!

I decided to decorate Tokyo & Tigger's cage for Valentine's Day and thought I'd share My two pigs have a 2 x 3 cage with an upper loft, but I'm hoping to expand soon because they could really use the extra space.


I could of decorated a lot more but this is what I ended up with. They just have a light pink fleece liner & a pink chevron liner that I sewed. The xoxo banner I got from Target and just hung it across the front of the cage where they couldn't reach it.


I got this rose scented paper bedding on sale at my local pet store and their hay is in a metal bucket I got at Target in the dollar section.


Tokyo's the peruvian pig above.



And Tigger is resting in his strawberry house I got on eBay : ) I just sewed a little liner to put inside of it and it was good to go! If you decorated your cage for Valentine's Day I'd love to see it, Happy (almost) Valentine's Day! xD

I (kind of?) did mine for Valentine's. These pictures are from today though, and I changed everything out on Sunday so it's kind of a giant mess, haha.

It's just a normal fleece blanket I picked up in the Valentine's Day section of the Superstore here.

very cute cage! I never thought about draping triangle shaped fleece over the top/corners instead of making a grid "roof" covered with fleece. I like it! I'll definitely give that a try =) I also LOVE the strawberry!!!! *eek* any chance you remember where/who you got it from on ebay???

You can get a bunch of different colors & sizes too. I got a medium, but you could easily get away with a small as for my pigs the medium is a bit big. When it came the only thing was that the little white dots were already coming off a bit, but considering the price I'm okay with it lol. I think I'm going to order a pink one soon too because they're so cute!

I wonder if the bunny would fit in one of those. I've been having the hardest time trying to find something as a hidey for him. he loves the fleece bed I made but I'm sure he'd like a hidey type thing just as much as the piggies. he used to squeeze himself lengthwise in a chewable tree trunk but he's way too big for that now lol

I changed their fleece this morning and replaced it with my fleece that has pink or red. No hearts but I think it looks festive.

Yea, I think a bunny would fit in a medium or large depending on how big he is, the dimensions are in the listing too. You could try it out and if he doesn't care for it I'm sure your pigs would haha

I bet bunnies are even easier to find houses for since they can probably use cat/small dog houses. Ebay has the BEST houses for cats/small dogs that would fit bunnies if you are willing to order from hong kong. Fruits, tree trunks, shark, animals, little houses. None of which will fit in my piggy cage since they are too tall with the lid on (

wow, for someone working in distribution I must be very blind/uncreative as far as online searches for this kinda stuff goes..... I actually just opened a new thread about that in the bunny section of the forum. the strawberry is the first thing that looks like it might fit a bunny in it. I wrote the dimensions down and will measure him tonight lol. everything else I find is just piggy size.
one of our cats doesn't like her cat bed (she always lays on my favorite blanket on the couch *figures*), so I offered that to hun bun but he didn't care..... no idea why? maybe he didn't like the smell of cat on it or something lol
how do you find the things you mentioned above on ebay??? (I actualy never got anything from there so far)

Try different searches like small pet house, small pet bed, cat bed, cat house, dog bed, dog house, soft pet house, soft cat house, soft dog house. Select "pet supplies" as the category.

Here are some of my favorites. Refine your search and check your prices though because I didn't check for the best prices. Use the function "lowest price+shipping option" and also if you are an instant gratification person choose "buy it now" too so then you can just buy it outright and not have to deal with bidding. Watch the shipping before you confirm/buy/bid because it varies by seller. Also check where it is because if its coming from china it will probably take anywhere from 3-8 weeks for delivery.
