So, I currently use Carefresh for my piggie but it smells and once wet clumps up which i dislike. I have been reading on here about fleece and such. I was confused i guess as to what i can use. is it ok to buy a fleece blanket and cut it up?

i apologize if this is repetitive i am going to make a bigger cage for her also just wanted to know what else to use. also can i put puppy liners underneath it to absorb some wetness?

thanks a bunch

Hi,
I use carefresh, but only in my piggies haybin.
I also use fleece blankets, sometimes its cheaper that way to. Their is only one themed fleece I have that I baught from a fabric store. Fleece blankets are gernerally large and perfect, and can definitly be cut up. So yes fleece blankets are great, their just like fleece fabric so, its just perfect :)
You;ll find using fleece is so much better, easier to clean and just so much better :)

I use a fleece throw (50x60 in.) from Walgreens - 2 for $7! They work just fine. Puppy pads would work fine as an absorbent layer underneath, but aren't washable. I use towels, which are highly absorbent and washable. Make sure you wash the fleece at least 3 times before using it in the cage!

If you get the blanket, don't buy a plush type. I made that mistake and it doesn't wick at all.
