un-baby proof question

My babies will be 3 weeks olds tomarrow and I have to seperate them from their mom. When is it okay to un-baby proof the cage?

I wait until they are about 3-4 months old.

My baby was 3 weeks old when she came to live with me and we took her to meet my little boy who was a year and she keep getting her head through the square holes of the grids. She could do this untill she was about 5 months so we cut plexi class (plastic) to put around the cage and we could still see in the cage and she us and it also helped with the kicking out of the bedding....
GOOD LUCK I WISH I COULD GET ANOTHER LITTLE PIGGY but 2 in my limit
