Hi guys,
This involves one of my dogs and my pigs. Since we adopted Grey in January, we've been fighting his allergies, and it's now at a point that we're going to get him tested and put on shots if needed. I was discussing Grey's problem on another message board when I saw someone post something on Timothy grass. It's not a high ranking allergin like Bermuda grass, but because we still don't know exactly what Grey's allergic to, it's still a possibility. The hay and the pig cage are kept in my office, where the dogs nap for hours while I work, and while Grey doesn't dig around in it, it would be easy to inhale it. So I'm wondering if there are other types of hay available that the pigs can eat regularly and still maintain good health that might work better with Grey's allergies. Hopefully it's not the hay, and I know that it's more than one thing, but just as a precaution, I'd like some more info.
