Just as an idea, how about sitting the loft section on a board that is slightly larger than 2X3? That way it can just sit on top of the walls of the lower section, and when it comes to cleaning you can just lift it off?Ly&Pigs said:Since I redid my loft to a 2x3, I have found it hard to clean the back of the 3x4. I will probably keep trying different loft configurations until I come up with one I like and where both main level and loft level are easy to maintain and clean.
The only way I can think of to solve that problem (if you did want to keep the set-up you have) would be to use a sheet of perspex instead of wood-that way you could still see them, but it would mean you couldn't really put much stuff up there! Ah well, back to the drawing board!Ly&Pigs said:That's a good idea Smudger, but I hate not being able to see under the 2x3 loft. I love watching my pigs run around in the cage and now they stay under there most of the time.
Not sure what you call it in the States-acrylic maybe? It's basically plastic that comes in sheets of varying size and thickness-it's quite commonly used as a cheap substitute for glass in things like sheds and greenhouses.Ly&Pigs said:What is perspex?
That's the stuff.dagwellismypigy said:Plexi-glass maybe?
