I was wondering can I put my pigs in a 2x4 on weekdays and then put them in my other cage on weekends? I was wondering this becuase the 4x6 is HUGE and really hard to clean and to reach the piggies! I have school mon-fri so and I also do a lot of sports/clubs after school and I just do not have time to clean a humongoes cage like that. So can I keep my piggies in a 2x4 and keep my piggies in a 4x6 on weekends?

I also hang with my friends and I am ussaly back at 5ish.

Thats seems like a decent idea. I find it hard cleaning my 2x4, so I can't imagine cleaning yours!

Hehe, I have spent over 2 hours cleaning it and I had to miss going to the mall. "sad"

At least you have a mall. I don't even have a Wallmart in my town!

Eek, that stinks.

Why does it take you so long? I have a 4X5, just a bit smaller than yours, it take me less than half an hour. Just shake the poop and hay off into the coroplast and sweep it up. Use vinegar and water only on the parts that really need them.

That would work.

Dagwell, I have a 2x4 upper level and a 4x6 bottom and I only have 2 piggies not 4. I would keep them in their big cage, but I have to do stuff that I like also. I do soccer, basket ball and I sometimes play football with some of my friends. I also do many other after school activities and I have a lot of homework. I would keep their big cage, but it is getting to much work.

Exactly, two pigs would make less mess. I think it would be kinda stressful changin their cage from the 2X4 to the big one. I have made an upper level, it actually makes cleaning easier the hay isn't all over the fleece now.I think you should pick one, maybe use the big one as a floor time, not a cage.

That would mean you would only have to clean the cage about every two-three weeks.

Alot of people do. I myself am in the school musical, two choirs, and preparing for auditioning for two others. With so much room, two pigs, and fleece, it really shouldn't be that difficult. Why does it take so long?

Maybe she gets distracted... that happens to me sometimes and makes it take longer, but the actually cleaning doesn;t take any time.

I too think it would be too much stress constantly switching cages on those pigs. Once they get used to one, they are suddenly in another. I think it's a good idea to keep them in the smaller one and use the larger one for floortime exercise. I have a 3x4 and I just redid the loft again to a 2x3 and it only takes me about 20 minutes to clean and that includes washing the coroplast down with vinegar, changing the hay box and everything. I have 4 girls on fleece and I only change/wash their cage every 4-5 days.

Ok, My parents just told me that I have to move my piggie room becuase they need it for storage space. I just have to switch to my old piggie room so now I am going to make my cage into a 3x4 with a 3x4 loft. Thanks again and I was had a bad mood yesterday. That is why I was so crabby. Thanks again!

That's okay; we're all crabby once in awhile:)

um, wouldn't that be even HARDER to clean?

A single 3x4 is not hard to clean at all. On a double 3x4 she will have the problem of getting into the bottom of the 3x4 to clean that section. Since I redid my loft to a 2x3, I have found it hard to clean the back of the 3x4. I will probably keep trying different loft configurations until I come up with one I like and where both main level and loft level are easy to maintain and clean. Plus the pigs have mostly stayed up under the loft area and I hardly see them out except to eat or when they are in the loft.
