I noticed a lot of people use u-haul blankets to put under the fleece in the cage as absorbant material.
I haven't been able to get the details as to whether I would have to get furniture pads ($7.95 ea) or quilted pads ($14.95 ea) or if it does not make much of a difference.
Which of the 2 kinds do you use??? my local u-haul store advertise both and I am wanting to go buy them and fleece this weekend to get started on the new fleece liners.... I'm tired of the (lame and boring) reusable puppy pads the piggies live on right now and I'm so in LOVE with fleece already even though I've only read all the cool stories about it so far :D

Please help :)

Thanks,
Christina

The pads are made of 100% recycled cotton denim which is very absorbent. The blanket is polyester and is not absorbent.

Thanks to both of you! I'll get a couple sets tomorrow! I can't believe I spent almost $40 for one set of reusable puppy pads that barely fit the cage size and those uhaul things are WAY bigger for WAY cheaper!

Make sure you wash and dry them a couple of times separately from other laundry before you cut them. They're going to shrink up and will have a lot of lint.

Did you get the blankets or the pads? The pads are absorbent and hold moisture but the blankets aren't and won't work. You need an absorbent under layer.

Uff geez! I was getting ready to cry all this work! Lol

Now I just noticed... one of the piggies peed on the fleece... and the pee stayed in to is the fleece for a while :-( is that normal to not go right through? I washed/dryed the 100% polyester fleece I bought twice....?
