so, I was at the clinic today, and I get a call from my local vet. apparently I've been designated the go-to person when it comes to helping find homes for guinea pigs in the local area. someone in the area is having to give up her pigs in a hurry and will be relinquishing them to the vet instead of taking them to the local pet store (which doesn't have room for any more guinea pigs at the moment anyway) and the vet figured, since I've rescued several before, I might be able to take them on for a while. I don't know the exact condition of the pair of pigs yet, or when I will be getting them, but probably some time tomorrow or Saturday. I will be trying to find them a new home once they've been evaluated as healthy and ready to go, as I really don't have the room for 7 pigs in my bedroom! I've already got one at home that needs a new home because she is completely incompatible with her sister or my neutered boar. she's very aggressive. I just don't have the space for that many cages right now.
