I contacted the one rescue on Petfinder, the others where shelters, but have not had a reply yet.

I will try posting on Guinea Pig Zone, but if everyone can please keep their feelers out for a potential home for Minnie that would be great!

Molly is being a bad pig right now and is not even liking me at the moment, she is still nipping and chattering her teeth!

Did you do proper introductions with them as outlined halfway down the page on the following link?

Also, how big was the cage for the two of them? Was it, and all accessories, thoroughly cleaned prior to placing both pigs in the cage?

Yes, I followed all the suggested steps. They are now in a 2x4 cage that is dividided in the middle which is only short term until I can figure things out.

Just heard back from a local rescue. They may be able to do a guinea pig swap with me so that we can find both girls friends!

Don't be mad at Molly. She's not being a "bad girl", but is upset and frightened by the new situation.

How will you be re-homing Minnie?

Yes, I should have kept the previous thread going... kinda new to this.

I am assuming the rescue will place Minnie into a foster situation (all their pigs are in foster care) and then try to find a match for Molly.

In the meantime I will just try to keep the peace.

I'm not mad at Molly, just very surprised at her agression and change of personality. She was so sweet before all this and I feel very guilty!

Just an update to share if anyone is interested.... I finally heard back from a local guinea pig rescue who will take Minnie.

There is also a baby girl to be weaned soon that may come and live with us if Molly gets along with her.
