my dad who loves my piggies wants to give them more things to do, he wants to connect a big tube to the cabe and have it loop around and then back into the cage. I am worried they wont want to come out once they are in! I am also worried about them getting stuck some how.We will slice holes int he tube for air and have little wondows for them to peer out in. The tube will be removable from the cage also.

Good idea or not?

you could make it so it is has little diversions back into the cage every now and then incase they want to get out, like use a T shape or something. If you think your pigs will like it go ahead, and let us know how it works

Cavies may be able to use some tubing, although it's not very popular except as a transition between two cages, or areas. What type of tubing were you thinking of? You'll need to make sure it's big enough, and stable.

I conected lots of pvc pipe together and my pigs LOVE IT.

I just use different size lengths of pvc pipe and lay them in different configurations either in their cage or during floortime. Works great and I don't have to worry about a piggie getting stuck. If one doesn't want to come out, I slightly tip one end of the pipe up and they slide right out, lol.

All sounds good if you dont mind cleaning it out. I dont care for the pvc pipes. I will use them once in a while just for something different but I find they urinate alot in them and I hate the idea of them creeping thru the uriniated pipes. I can clean it out and 5 minutes later they pee and poop in them again. I'm sure they urinate in many things, but you can actually see the urine in the pipes and that turns me off.
