I am a practicing veterinarian and am well aware of normal versus infected urine odor.

I'm sorry. Just because you're a vet doesn't mean you know what's correct and what isn't. Many of us have been through quite a few vets and have found that to be very true with vets.

I used to have the same problem with the ammonia smell and piggies' body odor when I was using odorless detergent. Then I switched to a special detergent that combats odors, which works quite well. Also, it helps to not fill your washing machine up completely, but only about 2/3.

By the way, I think it's great that we have a vet in the forum, especially one that owns gps!
