Toy Ideas

Im going to a pet store tomorrow maybe. I was wondering what are some toys, chew things, or anything my piggies would like to play with i can buy? I am hoping to get more chloroplast and cubes to expand there cage to a 2*4 with a 1*4 ramp, Im not sure if i will get them though. If i cant im going to be changing their cage to a 2*3(the same) but with only a 1*3 top(no L shape). Im hoping to make cleaning easier and that they will maybe start to use bothe the bottom and top.( will this size suite two piggies).

A 2x3 is the bare minimum to keep two piggs happy. So yes it is a fine size, but if you can expand go for it!
Well chubes my piggs love those. And wooden hidey houses (not colored with dyes just normal wooden ones, can be purchased at Petsmart and Petco)
They have these cute little cavy couches and beds at Petco and Petsmart.
Oh and cuddle cups are great!
Or you could just make a cozie and your own hideyhouses.

Certain ferret toys, like hammocks, and fabric hidey houses, etc.

Yeah, the timber houses (wooden houses with no die and such) are great! They LOVE them!! And the cozies. They have them in the ferret section.

i heard some piggies like those little ferret balls with bells in them.

They got a blue chube and it came with fluff bedding(should i use this). I was debating getting a ferret couch but it was really big. They also got these wooden chew toys. Im hoping they are alright for them. THey are calledChew Stuff. They look just like these: (broken link removed)

Do you think they are alrgiht?

wilson, i wouldnt feed those. they are fruit FLAVORED, not natural. also, they are color dyed.

I don't think fluff is ok for pigs. Not only will they not use it, but I think there was a reason why...anyone???

erm i thought maybe they would eat the fluff bedding and it would get stuck in there stomach im not sure if that was it i cant remeber now.

I got cat balls with holes in them. My piggers love em they would pick it up with their teeth and bob their heads up and down and try to toss it up in the air. Every time I pick up the ball and toss it back in the cage they squeek and run after it to play.

The fluff is probably like carpet. If they eat it it will get stuck in their intestines and cause a blockage. If it is not like what carpet does then it will get stuck in the behind when they are trying to go to the bathroom. This happend to my dog when she at the fluff out of a stuffed chew toy. We had to pull it out. So I would not use the fluff for guinea pigs.

Thanks everyone. Thats what i thought about the fluff. I never gave it to them and i wont be.
