Too many carrots?

I've read in a few guinea pig websites that you can't give lots of carrots to guinea pigs; it could cause liver failure. I had always given Carrot lots of carrots until I read that. Is it true that a piggy can overload on carrots? I've asked a few people, but none of them knew.

I believe carrots are high in calcium. I would give it in moderation.

I feed my two guinea pigs one baby carrot each cut into two pieces, every three days or so.

I give them four baby carrots each a week.

Slap probably meant baby carrot. I give mine as a treat maybe twice a week. Sometimes just to vary the menu I will use a potatoe peeler and peel some carrots for them. I get excited everytime I read a new veggie to give them. I am going to try next mint. I can't wait. Boy I must lead a pretty dull life to get excited over new veggies.

Hey everyone thanks for your replies!

I give Carrot a bit of Carrot about every other day; so if you add them all up he gets one large carrot a week.
