I bought TImthoy hay for my 7 week GP should i stop? Is it bad for the GP?

Your young pig should be getting an alfalfa hay until he is six months old. Then timothy for the rest of his life.

Hay is very important for a guinea pig, it is a staple in their diet, and they need unlimited amounts.

They should actually have access to fresh grass hay, like timothy, at all times. You may also supplement a young pig with alfalfa hay, but if you are feeding a quality pellet such as Oxbow Cavy Performance, you do not need to give the alfalfa hay. So, you are fine to give your baby timothy, but I recommend feeding Cavy Performance pellets.

I feed mine Cavy Performance and they have unlimited amounts of Timothy hay (as in I never let it run out) My youngest is also 7 weeks.
