My two boys will not get along! Today I decided I try a third time to get them to get along. I made a nice big temporary cage on the floor and put towels and blankets down, and filled the tub up a little bit and put them in. I got a little bit of rumbling and chattering, but that's it. After the bath I placed both of them in the temporary cage (after drying off) and put their two washed pigloos and two piles of hay down. Moose was chasing Snickers all over, and occasionally they would stop for some hay, and start back up. Snickers then just started hiding in a Pigloo, while Moose was trying to get in there but Snickers wouldn't let him. Everytime Snickers would come out Moose would chase him into is Igloo, or start mounting him. Then at one point Snickers got fed up and chased Moose into an igloo. Then Moose came out and it looked liked they were challenging eachother, walking up to eachother and kind of nipping the air. Then Moose tried to lunge at Snickers, and I could tell he wanted to bite him. I then got freaked out and now I have snickers wrapped in a blanket on my lap and Moose in the temporary cage. I seriosuly don't know what to do..Are they just never going to get along? I'm also kind of regretting getting Moose. He was a kinda of random because I felt bad...What should I do? Thanks...

Give it more time and take away the Igloos. Instead, cut several holes in cardboard boxes so they have more than one way to get in and out and have at least 3 of them. Two of everything else and a big pile of veggies.

They have to go through this, but it will most likely work out with plenty of space and time.

Thanks for answering. I just got scared because my Snickers got lunged at. I kinda have a soft spot for Snickers because he's my first pig and I've went through the most with him. I'll try again sometime, but I just don't feel like going through this agian.

They lunge, they mount, they chase but it really is temporary.

I was in shock when I did my first intro because the pig I already had was usually so gentle but within a couple days, you never would have known they hadn't always been great friends. I recently introduced a male and it was the same thing, once he got over thinking about girls, girls, girls!

Okay, thanks. I just got scared, because I really don't want anyone getting hurt. Next time I will keep this in mind. Hopefully they'll do the same thing your pigs did, my dream is just for them to get along.

I also have to say that until blood is drawn, just don't separate. It's great that you are doing everything possible to keep Moose.

I used to have an igloo and my boars would fight over it..inside of the igloo. It got to the point when one of my boars came out bleeding from the fight.

I would've gotten one but then, there would be almost no space in the cage.

Get a C&C, it's easier to make that you think, and they will be much happier.

I'm clueless as to what a C&C is.
