the new family.. HELP!

Hi all again, I have a few questions on how to go about putting the new family together. I separated the male when she had the babies. They are now a day old. The male has been nutered two weeks ago today. How should I introduced the male to the babies? I have put them together with my supervision, and all he does is "motor boat" around the female. Is he just tring to show dominace to the babies? He is VERY codepended on the female, he want ALL her attention. Will he hurt the babies? How long should they live separated? will he get along with the babies? Hes only 7 months old too... hummm Any one know what to do?

He'll need another week before he can be introduced - the recommended separation time post-neutering is 3-4 weeks. If he's really bohering her, it might be best to wait until the bubs can fend for themselves a bit better so he won't interfere with her feeding them or get over excited and hurt the babies by accident. The separation will make him even more eager to be around her, and it might put extra stress on her that she doesn't need when she's just given birth and is nursing. It depends on the individual pair really.

The male babies will need to be removed from mum at 3 weeks, by which time he will be clear, so if you wait until then, he can go in with the females when the males are removed.
