This timing couldnt have come at a more terrible time on my end. These endless remarks about charlie are hurtful. I love this site and visited it every day. Wouldnt it be obvious if i were to have "disappeared" i would have been due to different non-charlie related issues. quite frankly, i'm "disgusted" with all of you guys' impatience. I'm sorry that charlie is not there yet. i'm not the postal service! My mail is all 4 day behind its post date. so. I dont know what you want me to do. but please bugger off on me and the last person who had him....we are the only ones who "messed" this all up for you. dont ruin other's fun too. I wont give my excuses as to why ive been absent as they are my business and to you all they are just that - an excuse. So excuse me, but i am sorry. Coiler SHOULD have Charlie by now.
It is equally as hurtful and disgusting for the people who have put their time, effort, and money into this, to see Charlie continue to go missing throughout his travels. I don't think ANYTHING was obvious one way or another, which is why if you had the time to log on, which you did do, it was important for you to have dropped a PM, email, or reply to
someone here and let them know
something. I think people were very fair with you up until the point that you just simply left everyone hanging.
Feb 5, you asked to keep Charlie longer due to weather.
You were answered in friendly and understanding manner by several people telling you that was fine. You replied back with promises of pictures etc.
You never posted pictures, told of his travels, or even commented on the thread again until Feb 22 In response to everyone asking where is charlie? you reply that you got him back with a return sticker and would be putting him back into the mail again. And then......nothing.
Still, no one said one accusing or harsh thing until March 5 when you still hadn't replied, updated, uttered a word on the forums or answered any correspondence from moderators, yet you had been logged on the forums once or twice. How do you honestly think people could react to that?
No one wanted to be pessimistic, think the worst of you, or hurt you......but you have to accept some responsibility for leaving everyone to stew and assume. As I said before.....
if I knew I was the last one that had Charlie, and I logged on, one of the first things I would do is check to see if he had arrived to his next destination, or give some sort of an update. The fact that the last participant logged on 5 days ago and failed to do one or the other is unacceptable, and there really is no good excuse for it.
If something came up and you couldn't mail him back out on time, you were short on cash and haven't been able to send him.........whatever. But at least have the common courtesy to inform those involved--someone involved-- so everyone isn't sitting left wondering. I think we can all be understanding that things happen..... but the avoidance and lack of information is infuriating.
I am sorry for whatever has been going on with you, and I am sorry you were hurt, but I think you equally owe an apology--not for Charlie being missing, but for your lack of correspondences in this situation.
I wont give my excuses as to why ive been absent as they are my business and to you all they are just that - an excuse.
I think that is a real s@@tty thing to say to all the people that gave you leniency because of weather, and returned postage problems, and then have tried to be understanding and patient for OVER A MONTH while you left them to draw their own conclusions.
