Many people wanted to know about that blue "sofa" that you can buy at the pet stores. Many asked about how it holds up through washes. Well here is what I've learned....DONT WASH IT!!!! IT lasted 3 times in the washer, 3rd time the bottom stiching came all undone! Just thought you'd like to know! I'm going to try and restitch it, but theres gotta be another way to clean it?! Any ideas? (what if they don't pee on it? is it ok not to wash it u think?)

oh my gosh that stinks! thanks for warning me. if your absolutly sure he doesnt pee there i wouldnt wash it. Only if you had to disinfect because of mites.

That sucks. I just used lint remover to get the hair off. I haven't washed it yet. Hmm. It says you can machine wash it on the tag. You think if you hand wash it, it'll be the same?

Just an idea, but maybe if you reinforced the seams, you could machine wash it. By reinforcing, I mean running over all the seams with a sewing machine and a good stitch. If that's not possible, the best way is to use very hot water and gloves to hand-wash it. Soaking with Oxi-clean works well to get stains out, although you'd have to be very careful to rinse it properly.

You might try washing it in a king size pillow case tied off at the top. That's how I wash my kids stuffed animals and they always come out looking beautiful. Also dry it the same way.
