Our two rescue boys, Oreo and Twinkie, came in a a bonded pair. Then they smelled the girls and everything went down the drain. I am greatful for the tips I got here and have finally been able to expand both my sow and boar cages. The 2 boys are in a 3x4 (love it!!) and The 4 (5 in a couple weeks after Missy comes out of quarantine) are in a 4.5x6.5. The boys are back in the same room as the girls (after watching them for 12 hours in a seperate room they are now in the same room as the girls and no signs of aggression!). Hoping it stays that way so I can eventally continue with the plan of housing them side by side on an old waterbed frame. Oh happy day! So glad the boys aren't in quarantine cages anymore.
