Supplements Tablets only for sick?

Ok so I thought that you can just give guinea pigs the Vitamin C tablets to cover the Vit.C instead of fruits and veggies. Now I'm seeing that the tablets are only for sick pigs...I'm sooooo confused!

No no no! You can't not give veggies and fruit! They need a wide variety of veggies and fruit to ensure that they are getting all the vitamins and nutrients they need to live a long healthy life. Have you checked out the food chart by Ly&Pigs? Supplements are exactly that, SUPPLEMENTS! Only for sick pigs lacking in Vit C.

Does someone have a WEEKLY chart of fruits and veggies like give this this day and this much and this many times..? I don't know how else to explain it...

Arionat, it's really easy. You can learn about what you can feed by reading the chart and the sample menus at the links below.

Give your pigs a large lettuce leaf every day, and also about a cup of veggies. Make sure the veggies include bell pepper and cilantro. Add things like a cherry tomato, a baby carrot, endive, zucchini, some celery leaves, whatever. There are plenty of suggestions.

As long as your pig is getting adequate veggies, additional vitamin C is not needed.

i dont know i have a very short list of what my pig cocoa will eat.
last time i put a cherry tomato in she just looked at it and did the same with celery.
but she will eat peppers, cilantro, all kinds leafy veggies, and carrots sometimes a piece of
cucumber. Do you think i should make broader? She wont eat fruit just apples
