Keeping Warm Sweaters

Hello! I do not own any skinnies yet but am looking to get two in the summer. I saw somewhere that putting knitted sweaters on skinnies was bad. Would it be fine if they were wearing a fleece/micro-fibre sweater? While being monitored when wearing them.

I wouldn't. Too much danger of them ingesting it. Just provide a warm area in one end of the cage where they can get warm if they need to, and a cooler area where they can run around.
