There are SUMMER TIRES?? :eye-poppi Well you're supposed to learn something new everyday, aren't you? I honestly can't help you out regarding which brand is better, but what I do when I'm trying to choose something like that is to just google both and see which has more negative or positive reviews (I tend to go based on negative reviews since I'm skeptical about some positive reviews being fake). You could also just ask your mechanic, as long as you don't think they'll just push the more expensive brand on you just to make money.

Honestly, unless you haul cargo up mountains in winter and street race in the summer, I think having separate summer and winter tires is unnecessary. I see all extremes of the weather spectrum here in Ohio, and a good set of all-weather tires is great.

Same here, I was told that I really should use winter tires in the winter but I've been using all-weather tires year-round forever and have never had a problem. I take good care of my tires and replace them when they need it. Though where I am in Pennsylvania, we don't really get much extreme weather, just a bit of snow in the winter.

In Montreal though, I can understand needing winter tires. RodentsRus, if summer tires are significantly more expensive than regular tires, you may just be better off sticking with the regular tires (I guess these would just be all-season tires).

Both are good brands. Pick the most convenient or the better deal, as you prefer.

If you drive "enthusiastically" pick tires that are sticky, although these will wear faster.

I would say Bridgestone because that is what all my family has and there are no complaints. The Ford F250 XL Heavy Duty truck I will be getting has Bridgestone and they are the most amazing tires ever! Hope I helped!

to be honest i would pick the cheaper ones lol they are summer tires so they are not supposed to grip like the winter ones. I wouldnt worry too much on summer ones. id be more concerned over how good the winter ones are. Both brands are good. Yeah that law sucks. But i think its coming to Ontario soon too
