My pig's latest thing is to 'beg' by standing upright, he'll go nearly vertical and stay like that for several seconds, often accompanied by chirping (wheek wheek wheek). He'll repeat this until he gets a carrot, which he can only have once per day. Also he seems to climb up the side of his cage a lot, his back legs never leave the ground but again he stands vertical and holds himself there with his front paws. Anything to be concerned about?

No I would not be concerned at all one of boars constantly does that around feeding time

Yup, Ruthie does it all the time!

Sounds cute. I wouldn't worry about.

aaaw sounds so cute! no need to be in the least bit concerned.

My Prince Fluffy does that alot. also he would take his pigloo and try to move it close the the cage wall and stand on top of the pigloo and watch the girls play during free time. Its really funny watching him do that and he would cry until he gets to get out.

All three of mine do that now, too!!!

Mine don't stand totallu upright, but Ascot starts climbing up the cage for veggies.

aaw, lol!!!!!!

Buddy stands upright when I am giving the other piggies veggies. because he is spoiled and believes he is the only one that deserves veggies. lol

my piggies never wheek or do anything unusual....they just sit and wait, is that abnormal

No, because you havn't had them as long as us.

thats true, ive only had them for about 5 months

and my newist additition for 2 or 3 weeks

Standing up either against the cage or alone is a daily routine for my 3 males when they want something. Wonder if it is gender related.
