If you buy the wood that's 1 3/8" x 1 3/8", it would be very easy to slide through.

2x2 lumbers are not created equal. Some types of wood will be 1.5" x 1.5" after drying. You'd want the ones that are 1 3/8" x 1 3/8"

I hate resurrecting old threads, but I just wanted to thank everyone here because I just built stacked 2x5s and was mortified by the sagging in the center! Those wood beams will be fantastic!

I am glad you brought this post back up because I am in love with this cage design. Although I think I would want two ramps and make it one cage. I have two boars and would probably be pushing my luck getting a third hoping they all get along as well as my two boys now do. I still think it is awesome though, probably mostly because I could fit this in the space my cage is currently in. Now that I have a better idea of how these cages are built I could probably pull something like that off. I still and a bit worried about cutting my own coroplast and everywhere that carries it around here jacks up the price like crazy, so maybe I could combine so precut bases from the cage store

I have been looking around for bins (other than the ones in the cage store) that fit perfectly like that but have not been having much luck. I thought it would be an easy thing to find but other than collapsable fabric ones I have found nothing.
