Squeaks has surgery thursday

Saw the vet today and she says Squeaks does have an abcess. She doesn't want to lance it because itis more prone to reinfection and feel that it is encapsulated so she wants to remove the entire thing surgically. We have had this poor little guy only 3 weeks. I just feel so bad for him. I am also a wreck about it. She doesn't want to do his neutring at teh same time because that will be a lot to recover from and she wants him healthy before that surgery.

Squeaks did great. My poor little girl is so upset with how he looks (because they had to shave his neck and you can see where the surgery was) but the scar looks great and while he is tired and looked a little ratted, he is eating well and has made his little purr noises to his cage mate (there is a divider between them). We had to put plexiglass up between them too because Smores was so sad when he was gone and when he got back she started trying to eat teh bars or put her head through trying to get to him. Hoping he has an easy time tonight.
