Hurray for Spring! I just love watching all of the wildlife reappearing after the long cold winter. What incredible photos! I can't belief how colorful that one froggie is! I'd love to know what happens with the twin egg sac. Dare I hope that we will see more awesome photos?

Is that a young Diamondback? Or just a Kingsnake look-a-like?

Fabulous pictures Jarbax. Those frogs have been busy!

Wow JarBax, what awesome pictures! I have 4 fire belly toads and just love frogs/toads/newts, all those cute little amphibians.

My fire belly newts keep laying eggs as well. I would love to be able to take a close up of them...I just cannot get the camera clear or I guess the focus clear. I have 9 baby newts from September 2005 that are growing up fast and about 5 newly hatched babies. I also have the 2 parents of course.

I did not expect babies. When we moved my husband noticed the tadpoles when we were cleaning out the aquarium. I thought at first they were mosquitoe larva. Hahaha. I'm glad I did not flush them!

Anyway, thank you for those fabulous pictures! Keep them coming.

Oh my J, those pics are fantastic! You should submit them to a photo contest somewhere. Especially that 2nd pic with the in focus frog with the out of focus one in the background...it is great. They look like national geographic material.
I kept looking at the pig of the yellow frog thinking wow are those eggs all in the water? Then I scrolled to the next pic hehe Yup!

I saw wasps swarming outside yesterday. Blech. Unwanted spring guests aside, I am assuming spring has sprung based on the 78 F it is outside right now. I hope this isn't an indication of what summer is going to be like. :-/

Yay for Spring!!! I have little swamps in my woods, and we get frogs later on in the spring/summer. They are so fun to watch! Especially when you get to see the baby tadpoles swim around!

I can't say I'm crazy about frogs, snakes or spiders.

I did see the first robin yesterday, that's a good sign that spring is on its way here, even though it won't feel warm until May or so. We get the cooler by the lake thing.

You must live in a place where your robins go away for winter.
I've seem them nonstop. In fact, I complain quite often that I never see enough cardinals or blue jays; but yay for the ever-present robins.

Very cool froggies! I'm showing my son - we found some frogs guarding a bunch of eggs at one of our fresh springs a couple of weeks back. It was so cool 'cause we've always gotten out there before they were laid and after they'd become tadpoles in the past. My boy was in the throws of ecstacy.

I know it's Spring because my B-day was yesterday! heehee. I miss the woods being in my backyard, you should post more pics once those eggs hatch(I think that's the right term here) and the little tadpoles come out!
