I have tried searching previous threads and have hit a dead end. Cinnamon, my boy, makes a noise like a motor running on a car when I feed him. What happens is he comes to me for the veggies and I give him some. Then Coco, his girlfriend, will start to make her way over for veggies and then he kind of runs around her and chases her making the car motor sound. He's not shy with me at all, I can pick him up and brush him and pet him. Coco is still pretty shy and its really difficult to pick her up.

Does he wiggle his bum while making this noise?

Yeah kind of. I thought he was going to try and hump her but he hasn't done that since we had first got her. I think its a good sound but its just weird how he does it every time I feed them.

I'm just making sure, but is one of them neutered or spayed?

It is a sexual sign as well as dominace (I think!) It is strange that he only does it during feeding though...

He's neutered. Its kind of funny because he does and it almost seems like he pushes her into a corner farthest away from me.

These are definitely dominance sounds. It's called rumble-strutting. He's showing her that he's the boss and that he gets 1st pick of the veggies. I wouldn't be too worried. Separate only if there is bloodshed and humping is normal. BTW, are either of your piggies spayed or neutered?

The initial purring when you feed him could also be happiness at getting food. My girl, Tigger chitters and purrs at me when it's time for food.
