Feet Something on Ginger's Foot-HELP!

I was holding Ginger and noticed something on her foot/nail. It almost looks like a mass of hair, dirt, etc. I tried to kind of pick it off gently but she wouldn't let me and then she started like biting it like she was trying to get it off but she couldn't get it either. I have no idea what it is, could I just use nail clippers to get it off?

In the full body ones, it is the farthest left nail on the right paw.

Help?!

Is it poop? Maybe try soaking her foot to see if that will loosen it.

I just picked her up again to check it out, and when I went to look at her foot again she started biting at it again, then it was gone. I guess she ate it off....thanks for the help anyways!
