I've been teaching Shelby to circle for his evening treat. He normally follows my hand. Tonight out of nowhere I called him out for his treat, he looked at it, and quickly did a little circle! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself, it was so freakin' cute! I'm so proud of my little bean! :D

How did you do it? I've reeeeallly been wanting to teach Ginger how to circle!!

I started with blueberries because those are his favorite. I took one, and waited till he recognized it in my fingers, then made a slow circular motion as he watched it and followed my hand. At full circle he got his blueberry! To see him do it on his own tonight made ME wheek for joy!

Lol!! Thats so cute!! I'm gonna try to teach her to do it tomorrow...did u learn it from a specific place? Maybe one that has a video?

Nope! I guess I sort of took what little experience I have training my dogs and used the same methods. Find what motivates your baby and use that. In a piggies case, food!

Where on earth did you find a piggie costume? It's adorable!

How cute! I just started making my boys stand up for veggies because there are 3 of them and they were running into each other when we tried to do circles. lol

Wow so cute!!

I taught Wishbone to walk in circles for a treat. I tell her to "do your trick" and she walks in a counter clockwise circle. The funny thing is, when she wants a treat, I don't even have to tell her. I can see her walking around in counter clockwise circles in the cage. It's easy to teach. Just make sure you teach them to walk in one direction and have them follow your finger. I would tell her to do her trick while she did the circle. Eventually she'd respond to the command without me using my finger.
