I was wondering if i should get my guinea pig a snuggle. I see lots of people with them, and there piggies seem to enjoy them. What is so great about them?

I want to know why people use fleece at the bottom of there cages. I think it would be harder to clean? Is it? Also, how would you keep your piggy from eating it?

I guess i should tell you about my guinea pig. Her name is Penny Lou and she was born May 19, 2008. As you see, she recently turned one! I got her June 26, 2008. Yes, she is from a petstore. I know alot of you dislike that i got my piggy from a petstore, but please no hurtful comments. You can keep them to your self.:D

Hey:)
The good thing about fleece is that all you have to do to clean it is shake off the poopies somewhere sanitary and then hang it out to air in the sun. There is no need to constantly wash it unless it is badly soiled.

Anyway, I got my piggies from a pet store too. People who dissaprove need to understand that not everyone has a pet shelter or breeder that they can get to!

You should actually wash the fleece at least once a week, without softener or dryer sheets. Like Mama-Harlow said, you do just shake it off, but then you need to wash it. Some pee will soak into the fleece, that is why it needs washed.

You don't get to dictate what other people can and cannot say about your (poor and unprincipled) decisions.
