It seems my school is located in a snow belt and the whole city of London (Ontario) is completely snowed in today. Apparently the university had something break so that all heat and warm water got turned off and so the entire campus is closed down! Exams are cancelled, and I was supposed to go to work today but I've called two people in my department and no one is picking up, so i guess there will be no work for me today!

I just wanted to share my excitement. Now I have the whole day to study :(.

Wow, lots of snow then! Any pics? Although if you're studying for exams then I know pics aren't a priority so don't worry about it. Do you often get snowed in in London?

There's just flurries here in Hamilton, I hadn't looked out the window until I read this thread! I'm about two hours away from nonamian_girl, but we have no snow sticking so far. I am so jealous that all these places an hour or two away are getting totally dumped on with snow - first Buffalo/Niagara now London.

Well as much as I'm enjoying the free time, there is literally two feet of snow on my balcony! It's pretty but I know in a day it's going to turn into slush and the thought of having to wade through that is just dreadful!

And it's STILL going too!

Here are some picc I snapped:

Here is the view from my window (sorry about the weird quality, I snapped it through my screen).

Partial view of my balcony and how much snow fell on our patio stool thingie since yesterday.

And here's a totally random picture of my munchkins ALMOST cuddling:

There's no snow here in PR and it's HOT. How horrible, I wish I lived over there for a change. I've never even seen snow.

All icy here, I had to scrape off the car door and even then it would hardly open. My gymnastics lesson wasn't canceled though, which was unfortunate, because I banged mt yoe on the beam.

Wow, that's amazing! I love snow. I know it's a pain in so many respects, but it's so pretty and white. Gives everything a pristine, magical quality almost. Thanks for getting pics.

Claudie, I would trade with you in a heart beat! The thing I looked forward most this winter is going away to the Carribbean!

I wouldn't mind getting some snow here. We've had freakiskly warm weather the last month, and haven't seen any snow. It's so absolutely wrong for this time of year in Norway, and without that snow I'm not really getting any Christmas spirit. Kind of hard when you don't have to put on layers and layers of clothes to go outside. If it weren't for the lacking christmas spirit, I wouldn't have minded at all, but me likes me snow for christmas.:sorry:

Ohhhh you'd regret it. It's nice coming here for vacation but not living year round. It gets SO hot! In November temperatures were still reaching upwards of 95 F. And right now the days are sort of warm but you still need at least a fan, yet the nights are cool.

Is it humid? I think I can handle heat okay, it's the humidity that gets me here in the summer.

I heard about the BIG snow. I am from Woodstock originally so my family called to tell me about it. That, and the big accident at the Sweaburg road exit. That stretch of the 401 is brutal. I let my husband drive it. Makes me too nervous! I have to call my best friend. She is in London too. I should make sure she is alright. We might as well have had a snow day here. It was a PA day for the elementary schools. Anyway, enjoy your snow. Make a snowman for me. Take care!

On my other house in the mountains it is SO humid that just standing around makes you sweat, and the floors feel moist, it's disgusting weather to be quite honest. I haven't noticed it here quite so much but still the heat is horrible.
