We are brand new "parents" and have had our girls for 3 days now. I notice that one of them is running behind the other one sniffing at her back end. Is this behavior normal, like dogs do? I am hoping it doesn't mean we have a male and a female and one is going into heat! :( We adopted both of them as girls.

That's completely normal, they're just getting to know each other.

Phew! That's a relief!

If it was a male and female then you would see rumblestrutting .
