sneaky way to clip nails

I just thought I'd share with everyone a devious way I discovered to clip my pigs nails. Tonight when I was feeding him his parsley through the cage I noticed that if I held the parsley up high enough he stood on his hind legs and his front toes stuck through the side of the cage. So I brought out the clippers and clipped his nails while he was busy eating. He didn't even notice! Now if only there was an easy way to do his back nails...

That's funny you mentioned that because that seems to be the only way to do our one piggies nails. (We just discovered that this week) If you try to do them while holding him he bites and resists us

I never thought of that! My boys will always climb the cage for food but once they have it they always jump back down again, so I don't think it would work

Well, what I do is hold onto the parsley instead of letting it go. Then he *has* to stand at least long enough for 1 clip...

Thats a great idea. I can just stick a carrot that is too big to fit between the bars though the rough and Teebo will do the same thing. Great thinking, thanks for sharing!!
