I have recently switched to fleece and i love it so far. BUT my little girl will ALWAYS sleep, lay, and sit in her litterbox. i have a fleece hammock in her cage, a cozy and then her litter box. her litter box is maybe 1 foot x 1 1/2 foot. something like that. my question is...is that ok for her to be laying and sleeping in her litterbox? or does anybody know a way to get her out of it?

There is no harm in it, especially if you are keeping it clean. If she likes it, so be it.

Thats a nice cage. Did you make it yourself?

well, my dad made it along time ago for when we had alot of hamsters. Then it sat in our basement collecting dust. so i though id bring it up stairs, clean it, and paint it and thats how it turned out. =]

ok, just making sure. thanks

Really? Thats nice!

I find that wherever you don't want them to pee or poop - that is where they will. I have finally accepted that I will just have to deal with it! I spot clean twice a day and go through litter like crazy, but if the piggies want to poo all over then I just can't fight it! They go in their tubes, cozies, and everywhere else and the babies use their litter pan as a look-out. Oh, well....

hehe... Piggies are cute. If you ask me, they know they SHOULD use their litter box, BUT they just want to make you mad...

And some pigs will sleep in thier voids no matter how clean you keep the cage. The moment Sakura goes pee she turns around and sleeps in it. Ewww.

We go through lots of leave in small animal shampoo.
