I've read some threads concerning this, but was just wondering if anyone else was seeing the same behavior I was...

I work 3rd shift (aka over nights). I usually sleep during the day because of this. When I first got Stella, she was awake during the day and would sleep at night for the most part. However, now she is usually awake at night when I am awake and I will find her sleeping during the day whenever I wake up throughout my daytime sleep. Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior? I've seen a lot of others say that their piggies will kind of adapt the schedule they keep, so I'm assuming that it's pretty common. I find it pretty awesome though. Considering I'm the only one in my house who is awake weird hours of the night, my Stella keeps me company. lol

It's normal, they're like dogs, they're awake when everyone else in the house are. Probably because they're curious... My pigs do the same thing! When we had our winter break, I noticed that my pigs are usually asleep during the time when I'm at college and awake when I arrive home, around 5 at night. Too bad I couldn't play with them during the day when I was on vacation, I didn't want to ruin their beauty sleep :)

Guinea pigs are diurnal meaning they take power naps, sleeping for short periods of time, throughout the day.

Yeah. That's what I kind of figured. I like that she keeps my schedule. It's definitely nice!
