Lump Skinny pig Lump

Hey! I recently noticed a small lump on the top of my guineas head, and its grown in size in a few hours. Im very worried, but I am making a vet appt tomorrow. Any ideas if it’s malignant? It’s hard ish, it doesnt move around, and its a perfect circle. Thanks!

Sounds like an abcess. You could dry a warm wet cloth to see if it opens it and it drains.

Quickly growing lumps are rarely cancer. It may be an abscess, but I wouldn't try to open it for fear of spreading infection. Since it's on the head, it may be hard to keep from getting the gunk in the pigs' eyes or nose, and you don't want to do that.

The vet should be able to draw out a little of the lump contents and see what's in it. If it is an abscess, the whole sac around the abscess will need to be removed, or it will just come back again.
