my husband is getting a bit annoyed with my GP and today the box of GP food SPILT all over the floor and i lost half the food and he was like you should sell that GP, so im wondering what i should do its just because the GP is taking up alot of room and all we have is one room so i dont know whats a good idea to do?

Oh no.....I had that all my life. My whole family would love a pet for a while, but after a bit. it becae just a waste of spce. I am sooooo thankful my wife is an animal lover like myself. I tried to get rid of some fish that she HATED, but she wouldnt let me do it, just because they were living things. She is great.

well he likes her but theres just no room in this room lol

Aww I am sorry. Just keep the guinea pig out of his way for a while. And let him cool off. Pretty soon he won't even notice her (the gp) anymore.

hehe a bit diffuclt as the GP cage is at the foot of the bed lol

Thats the benefit of having a nice large warm basement. I know that seems like a bad place to keep them, but that is where I spend most of my time. Not to mention my wife likes the house REAL warm. The basement is the only place me and my piggies can survive.

haha well we live with my husbands parents and we rent just one room from them just the bedroom so thats all we have and its VERY very small lol

Hahaha, yup, sounds a bit cramped.

plus we have a queen bed 2 desk's with 2 compy chairs and 2 pc's so basically you have to squeeze past everything

lol then I guess you can't really keep her out of his way. Just a tiny bit cramped =0).

Just toss out the pc's and build the cage on top of the desks. Who really needs computers anyways.

then i couldnt talk to you guys :(

Oh yeah......good point.

Well, it is time for the lunch break. If you things dont work out, you can always send your piggy my way. We are looking for about 3 more.

well shes pregant and i want to keep her as im attached to her nothing will make me change my mind lol i will sort it out one way or another

Awwwwww, a pregnant piggy. I know this is not a breeder friendly board, but I must admit I do want to experience it one day. No way I am gonna worry about it now though, I have one of my own due in less than two months.

i dont know when mine is due i bought her pregnant and the guy who was selling her didnt have a clue how old she was but she looks young

I bought mine with intent to let her have one litter, but found out she was way too young. I got her from a pet store who said she was between 3 and 8 months. Turns out she is at the max, 2 onths old now. Needless to say, I scraped that idea.

I totally understand what you mean by lack of space. The place we live now, my bedroom has a queen sized bed, 2 chest of drawers, a bookshelf, storage shelf, bike (!). Barely room to walk. I've thought about mounting the cage on the wall instead of putting it on the floor. You know, instead of putting art on the walls, why not have a guinea pig cage circling the room. ;) Or making a 5 story cage, something like that.

I have the same problem with my husband. He's like, that's the last pet, OK. And there's always the money talk that goes with that. We have had adopted both a stray cat and a stray guinea pig in the last 3 months. I don't know how I'm going to convince him we need a buddy for our piggy.

well our house is 100years old so the walls i dont know how strong they are so im not sure well keeping a GP is relatively cheap i think and cats are kind of cheap too depending
