Abu got long hair, I wonder if she need a hair cut. It is quite long that it is tounching the floor all the time.

you may want to, to keep bedding and hay and other "stuff" out of the hair. unless you plan on brushing your piggie everyday, cutting their hair is the best thing. i cut two of my piggies hair every 2-3 months or so, more in the summer times because it can get a little hot here.

also, you may want to spread the hair-cutting sessions out over a couple of days. one of my piggies doesnt like it at all so i limit his session to only 10 minutes a day until i finish cutting all his hair (usually takes 2 days).

hope this helps.

I had a couple that had long hair all over their rumps. It'd get knotted and dirty really quickly and they hated having it brushed out, so I just trimmed it off. As Starbucks said, it helps keep them cool in summer too.

I just gave mine a big spring of parsley or some dandelions, and they'd not even really notice I was doing it that way.

yeah I think I am going to trim it anyway, =( She really hates it, but it got dirty and knotted very bad. The other thing is when I brush her hair on the back she is fine with it, but once I start brushing on the side close to the back leg area, she seems like not very comfortable, and very much want to run away.
Is that mean that something is wrong with the hair around that area? or in the brush too hard?

I have five long haired pigs. They all get haircuts regularly. They are just really sensitve about having that area brushed, I think.
