I don’t believe my girls are spayed, I got them at 2 months old and I am not sure how to tell if they are spayed. I may eventually get another Guinea pig. I would most likely get a male. Also, I don’t know if not having them spayed could lead to any health problems. Any advice?

There are pros and cons to spaying a female. It's the only thing that will prevent ovarian cysts, and sows are prone to getting those. But spaying is a hard surgery for females, and the recovery is also hard. It's a choice between a rock and a hard place.

If you did decide to get a male later, neutering a male is a much less complicated, not to mention less expensive, surgery.
