Whenever I give cardboard to my pigs, Twix eats it. I think he thinks it's food. If I put a cardboard tube in the cage, the next day it's like almost half-gone. Here's a picture of a cardboard box house the day after I put it in the cage. The piece of cardboard in front of the opening is how big it was before I put the box in the cage.

I asked my Vet when I was thinking of giving my GP's cardboard and they said they give them to the rabbit they have, and they chew them all the time..

Yeah, our girls love chewing on cardboard and we let them. :)

I read that some cardboard has glue to keep it together, and that glue contains dangerous chemicals which arent good for them. Is that true? My guinea pigs also love to chew!

Well, I'm wondering because Twix doesn't just chew it, he actually eats it. :eek:hmy: I know chewing is fine, but I don't know about them eating it like it's food, which is what Twix does.
