My baby boar is 17 days old today and turns 21 days old on monday. I have his 3X3 wing ready for him and I am nervous about waiting til monday as he is already showing mounting behaviors and rumblestrutting. I 100% do not want any of the girls getting pregnant and I am unsure if I should move him now or wait til the 21st day. I think he and his sister is not 1005 weened yet buy its hard to tell because of the room/cage layout.

Any advice would be really welcomed at this point.

If he is showing mounting behaviours I would move him to his "wing" to avoid any possible pregancies. Is he eating/drinking well on his own?

I cant tell if he is drinking from the bottle but I know he is eating well on his own. You dont think 18 days old might be to early?

Waiting till exactly 21 days is not a problem. This will increase the probability of him being weaned by the time of separation. 17 days is roughly 2.5 weeks. Sexual maturity usually occurs between weeks 3 and 4 for males.

I had to separate my boar at 2.5 weeks

Wait. There is no evidence anywhere of a male impregnating a female at under 21 days.

Ok great :) I'll wait til he hits 21 days and then seperate them. Thank you for the help.

Yeah, good idea, i really wouldn't worry about it much until he is 21 days mate.
