Like I said, how can i make a second story for my C&C cage?

what are you having trouble with, it is fairly easy, you make it like you make the bottom part but it is attached to the top with connectors.

I know how to make the top but how do I attach it with connectors to the bottom?

(broken link removed) use the conector so that the "x" is pointing in towards the cage instead of down.

Ooo it works thanks now just have to wait for my dad to cut me some coroplast.

Connecters are a pain! You can try using zip or cable ties

yes conecters are a pain. They are so hard to connect and they ussally the grids come out of the conecter. That is why I cable tie everything when I use conecter so my cage does not come undone.

Well.... I couldn't even get them onto the grids! So, I just tossed them out

I was going to do that but I didn't becuase I think it looks better with conecters.

I used both connectors and cable ties. There are small slots towards the tops of the connectors that the grids slide into. I fixed one portion of my loft where I can easily remove a couple of grids to get to the lower level easier to clean. I used binder clips on those sections instead of cable ties.

I also use both. The connectors keep the spacing nice but my cage kept falling apart. Now I still use the connectors but I also zip the cage bars together at every connector. That keeps everything nice and together.

Zips are also good when you want to make a shelf midway up a grid. I made two lofts this way.
