The past few days one of my females is screeching and attacking the other female. They're in a 2x5 cage. It's whenever the ones gets too close, or goes by the water or food. It's increasing in frequency. I was going to split them up but keep them next to each other, I didn't plan on doing that, I had hoped they would get along. I don't want it to progress to actual biting. Has anyone had this happen before?

How old is she? How many days does she show this behavior? How many pigs in the cage?

Sows come into heat for a day or so every 14-16 days, and can be pretty cranky.

It's the one that's most likely pregnant. The pumpkin was initially trying to assert dominance, and marshmellow would run away. About three days ago marshmellow started the screaming and attacking. She jumped in their kitchen next to pumpkin, looked at her face and struck her. They're the only two I have . Pumpkin in about one and marshmellow is two. There's no teeth chatter for warning, she just strikes. They have hiding spots etc.

Has Marshmellow had a litter before, or is this her first?

If you don't know if she's had a litter, I'd take her in for a vet exam and a possible ultrasound when she's about six weeks along. Two is definitely too old to be having a first litter, and she may not be able to deliver normally.
