My guinea pigs don't seem to run around there cage, they kinda wwadlle a little and and occasionaly popcorn around the cage other then that the sleep. The only time the run is during free time. Is this a sign of sickness? Or are they just lazy? I have a big cage i would think they would run but they don't. Any ideas to get them movin?

Should i add more toys or something?

Well just how big is your cage? It sounds pretty normal to me. Just try to keep their houses and hay and food on opposite sides of the cage so they have to walk further. Just put in a lot of tunnels and things, but it sounds like average piggy behavior.

its a 2x5 with a 2x1 hayloft. they seem to be moving around a little more in the few hours they've been on fleece. any other toys ideas?

Do they have tunnels and areas to explore? To get them moving, put their food and water bottles in different areas.

Mine are like that. They sort of waddle around, but it so cute to watch them. At least yours run at floor time!

That sound pretty normal. Mine only actually runs in the cage when she's excited about something or during floortime.

If I stand by the cage with food, but don't give it to them, thats when they start running around. They go up the ramp, down the ramp, do laps until they get their food. So sweet!

Yep, they don't always run.
