Hello. Those of you who know me, know I haven't been on here lately.

My baby Yoda has just passed away Monday around midnight. I took him into the vet monday and we found out he had a bladder stone. Bladder stones need to be removed surgically. He went into surgery, it went well, my vet took him home with her over night to watch over him (despite her allergies to piggies) and she said he seemed to be doing fine and then suddenly just started fading away. I know she took it really hard and obviously I am too.

Yoda was special to me. I found him on this site, had him picked out when he was 2 days old as a buddy for Rhino who passed away last year.

My Yoda-bear was the sweetest little prince you could have ever met and I will miss him dearly. Chirpa already misses him. I wish I could just explain to Chirpa what happened, but I think we all wish that would be possible.

Anyway, I just wanted to let those of you who knew Yoda know that he has passed and is at the rainbow bridge with his big brother and best friend Rhino, and will be dearly missed.

Love you baby <3

Oh my poor little boy...I can't seem to stop crying. I was so happy when you adopted him. I knew I never would have found a better home for him. He was a beautiful little boy from the day he was born. I know he lived an amazing life.

Thank you. And thanks again for bringing us together, Mikayla. I'm glad that I at least got to spend (almost) a year and a half with him.... He really was very special. I can't believe its been a week already... It just feels so surreal... I keep wondering why... you know? I feel horrible for Chirpa. He's never really been alone, at his foster home before I adopted him he had his brother around him (who got adopted a few days before I got him) and then I brought him home and put him with Yoda. Then Chirpa and Yoda were together every day for almost 11 months... And while I'm extremely depressed about losing Yoda, at least I know why...It must be so confusing to suddenly be left alone. Sorry this post is depressing I'm pretty upset right now and I know that anyone here who reads this will understand the connection a person has with their pets especially in this case their guinea pigs. They're not just another rodent to us. They're family. I wish I could make people (other than us) understand I just lost an extremely important family member. I'm gonna be depressed. I'm gonna be moody. I'm going to be fine one moment and crying the next, it's the mourning process. It's not like I just lost my crayon, I lost my baby. Yes, I know I'll be fine, but right now I'm not.

There is nothing that i can really say but this, in hopes to help.

"Letting go is like pulling a tooth. When it's pulled out, your relieved, but how many times does your tongue run itself over the old spot where the tooth was? Probably 100 times a day. Just because it wasn't hurting you didn't mean you didn't notice it. It leaves a gap and sometimes you see yourself missing it terribly. It's going to take a while but it needs time. Should you have kept the tooth? No, because it was causing to much pain. You have to wait for a new one to grow and move on."

It's kind of a weird analogy, but I was hoping it would somewhat help you. Im so very sorry to hear about it and i wish i could give you a hug in person. :grouphug:
