Renovating a store bought cage-

I have a store bought cage, and I just found this site, saying that my pig needs at least 7.5 square feet! This cage I have currently has only a little bit more than 6 feet. If possible, I would like to keep two parts of the cage- the bottom, and the big wooden hut. I would add a second level. The problem is, the sides of the bottom aren't multiples of 14 or 15, so I was wondering if you could suggest any way to save the bottom and the big wooden hut (which came with the cage and my piggy really loves).

Only the main level counts as square footage, if you add more it dosent increase it, in all realality it increases it. I'm currently using the bottom of one store bought cage as a litter pan under the hay racks. I have another store bought cage too that I've been thinking of using the bottom to grow some grass in but I'm not sure how well that would work.
